SPREADING HAPPINESS
ANUPAM GAKHAR
Hey, Greetings! Before you read further, I seek a favour—flash a bright smile!
At the core of everything I do lies Hope and Happiness—twin forces that drive my mission to create a better world.
HOPE
Through My Soul Will Smile, I am igniting hope in the hearts of youth, energising the Higher Education sector with a double dose of positivity. My team and I are building products to empower young minds, ensuring their mental health stays strong so they can seize the best career and life opportunities. Because when the mind is calm, the world is in our lap.
HAPPINESS
This dream has been in my heart for 30 years, and now it is turning into a people’s movement. My Soul Will Smile is my passion and purpose—helping individuals lead happier, more fulfilling lives. Through awareness campaigns, courses, and workshops, I am committed to improving mental health in colleges and universities. The best part? People are joining in, bringing their own spark to the movement. I aim to collaborate with like-minded organisations to expand this initiative globally, making happiness education accessible and impactful on a larger scale.
THE PINK POLICY DIALOGUES
A progressive, just, safe, and equal world for women isn’t a distant dream—it’s a policy shift away. With this belief, I co-founded The Pink Policy Dialogues, a movement to spark fairness and empowerment by engaging with governments for meaningful policy interventions. We envision a world where a woman’s potential, not her gender, defines her opportunities. Through dialogue, collaboration, and action, we’re transforming aspirations into tangible change.
MY JOURNEY AS A WRITER
I was born into words. My parents, Late Sh. Brij Bhushan Gakhar and Meena Gakhar, penned over 60 English grammar books, many becoming bestsellers. Inspired by them, I ventured into content creation in 2001, co-authoring and editing over 125 books for children across disciplines.
My solo writing journey led me to author Professor of Happiness: The Ten Secrets of Crafting a Blissful and Successful College Life, the first mental wellness book written especially for college students. I’ve also penned three full-length feature film screenplays and am working on more. Writing isn’t just a passion—it’s a legacy I proudly carry forward.
INNOVATION, LEARNING & ENTREPRENEURSHIP
In 2010, I founded Mrs. Meena’s Mulberry Fields, an early childhood education venture based on Multiple Intelligences, a fresh and well-received concept at the time. I later built two Ed-Tech startups, developing learning apps for school children.
Some of my endeavours succeeded, some didn’t thrive. From the former, I learned the joy of creating impact and the power of well-executed ideas. From the latter, I walked away with priceless lessons in resilience, adaptability, and the art of knowing when to pivot—because failure is just a stepping stone to greater success. And through it all, I held on to one truth: happiness is non-negotiable—whether in victory or setback, it remains the constant that powers every new beginning.
Beyond this, I serve on the advisory board of Prasanchetas Foundation, an NGO making a meaningful impact on children and women’s well-being. I am always open to collaborating with more change-makers to give back to society.
EDUCATION & TRUE CALLING
I hold an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy. But my true calling is at the intersection of Mental Wellness, Women’s Empowerment, and Happiness Education.
Current Full-time Occupation: Leading a Mental Wellness Movement, Women’s Empowerment Advocacy, & promoting Happiness Education Current Creative Project: Writing a book on Happy Parenting
To make a lasting impact, I am actively aligning with organisations and changemakers who share this vision. Together, we can scale the happiness movement globally, ensuring that mental well-being, empowerment, and equal opportunities reach every individual who needs them.
